Abstract
The autotransplantation of fat has become a common procedure since Neuber in 1893 first reported the successful use of fat grafts to establish of soft tissue deficiencies. But free fat grafts following transplantation gradually diminished in volume and fail to survive renders their clinical value negligible recently.
The dermal grafts alone do not have sufficient bulk, bone and cartilage produce hard material beneath the skin where a soft consistency is more desirable and foreign implants give rise to marble-like structures.
We experienced a total 10 cases of autogenous fat graft with overlying dermis (dremofat graft) for soft tissue deficiencies in the face and breast who were admitted to plastic surgery department of Severance hospital during sven years from Jan. 1969 to Dec. 1975.
In the author¢¥s experience, free autogenous dermofat graft provide the best available grafting materail to substitute for soft tissue deficiencies in the face breast and extremities.
So, we presented to this autogenous dermofat graft as compare with foreigner¢¥s report.
